Hello, everyone. Hope you are doing good! Wish you all a pleasant new year. As I promised I am back with the second part of the blog which talks about everything 2020 showed me. So, let's get started. (I will keep the counting straight this time. Haha)

1. I have improved friendships. Yes, with certain people I did. Maybe it was because of the lockdown people had time to devote to me and their unwanted surroundings disappeared. Whatsoever was the reason I am sure some of the bonds have strengthened for the good.

2. I gained all types of knowledge and had the amazing opportunity to freelance in both the academic and creative fields. This exposed me to different topics that exist in the writing field. I have never freelanced before and this was certainly a good eye-opener. I utilized my spare time in Coursera, webinars, and conferences as well.

Anyway, as a matter of fact, you can rent my services in both art and writing for a feasible amount. If you are interested in it, surely DM.

3. This year broke me away from the only place I called home. However, I'll always belong to Delhi for as long as I am alive. Those borders of the city forest and the balcony overlooking it will be the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. I specifically kept these points for this part of the blog as I wanted people to see the good part first and understand how below it, stems everything that is mostly unsaid. My lockdown experience was not at all smooth but I prefer it because it has somehow made me focused, productive and helped me come out of the toxic environments. This didn't happen miraculously. I did my part to save myself. Slowly, steadily. And, as much as I love Bhajans, no God saved me.

4. Years after I came across a waterbody. This sentence sounds so abnormal but all I mean to say is I played in the water of Kaveri after so many years. All thanks to my nephew, I was a kid again.

5. I understood the power of silence. I discovered what meditation could possibly mean and how it can be done with or without tools, depending on how you are feeling. A tool, like a mantra, breath, and even mindfulness has to be, however, left alone at a point where you can actually hear the truth. (You can review my perspective on meditation down below in the blog I have linked.)

6. As stupid as it sounds, I have mentioned in the blog about traveling amidst COVID-19 that I had to travel due to some unavoidable circumstances. I traveled alone, though for the most journey I slept because I was so tired. I did it. I traveled back and forth from Delhi to Chennai all alone. I traveled from Chennai to Thanjavur all alone as well. Flight. Train. Car. You name it, I did it. I booked my own ticket, I handled myself responsibly and I somehow am proud of it.

7. I supported my parents. As narcissist as this sounds, I have been always the avoidant kind when it comes to taking responsibility for others. However, this year didn't allow me to be so. I supported my fam with whatever I had and however I could.

8. I am sure for this one many people will come at me with "Oh! Don't say that." but I am going to include it regardless. I am thankful 2020 didn't give the creepy and stupid hostel experience. Before shouting and trying to prove how roomies are great and hostel life a must, please understand neither this is 2 states or IIM, the rooms, people as well the food for the most part sucks. I am neither an extrovert nor a person who is comfortable enough to share her room. Also, I saved my money on that worthless place that I used the way that made me happy.

9. Last but not least, I was healthy for the most part of 2020, and both my loved ones and I, are COVID safe even now. I am grateful for the luxury that keeps me safe as well I am thankful to the universe for providing me 'enough brain' such that I don't sneeze on others, share food/water when I have even a normal cold, I don't stop wearing the mask and risk others. If you are one of these people, please unsubscribe. Jokes apart, wear your masks.

That was it for the 2020 flashbacks end, and I have Planned few things to take on in 2021, which I am too nervous to share but anyway. January is my birthday month so, you guys will be seeing a lot of me in both FB and Instagram. See you next week! Hopefully.

Here is a bonus video of glimpses of 2020!
