Hello everyone ♥
I am back with another blog for this week. I wasn't going missing, just busy with things. As you guys saw on my page, I had my first PI.
~~~
I recently realised that so many people, especially bloggers have already started travelling and half of them are acting like as if Corona has died or something. Then, I came across my favourite YouTuber's Instagram post that she would love some tips and ideas about it.
Well, tbh I would really and honestly suggest you to not travel. It is not safe. Coronavirus is not gone and the pandemic is in a worst situation than the time you were fretting (i.e march for us Indians).
The global numbers for those who have detected positive have hit 40 million and in India, it has skyrocketed to almost 8 million.
Even if you travel for fun, half of your trip will be sanitization. And trust me, that is not fun and is super tiring, especially if you are looking for a vacay away.
And even if after all this you are thinking about travelling or you need to due to certain situations like me, be safe and keep OTHERS SAFE. Think about those little kids who mean no harm, and try to be as precautious as possible.
I have travelled up and down India, in-flight as well as in train in the past month. I went to the national capital, then returned back to Chennai and now I am somewhere else. So, I thought why not share my experience with you guys. Before you all judge me, all of the travel I did was not tourism nor I have such intention for now, though I direly need it.
~DO NOT TRAVEL IF YOU ARE SICK OR YOU HAVE SOME UNDERLYING HEALTH CONDITION~
~Mode of travel~
•Choose the mode of travel wisely. I would suggest flights as social distancing is really alive there and in most trains, passengers have killed 'one arm distance' rule.
•Sanitization of both flights and trains are done profusely and thoroughly. So, no need to worry about that.
•About buses I have no idea. But, if you are going for fun (not recommending) you should get your own vehicle. That is safer and easier.
~Place~
•For tourism, hill stations would be appropriate as those are really less crowded nowadays. (I know this one through other people)
•Avoid temples that are overly crowded in their respective season. Trust me, no God is saving people from the corona. And, I really don't understand people who take off the mask in temples and while meeting people on the way. Like what? Is your God your mask? Like seriously? You are gonna be that dumb in a pandemic? Okay. You can be. At least don't use your YouTube and Facebook to promote that thing.
Also, can anyone enlighten me about who is testing those 'pandits' and 'acharya' who are distributing 'kumkum' and other prashadam? Same goes for other religious gatherings (before someone bites me for this. I am a Hindu so I am writing about what I observe on daily basis)
My advice: Stay home and your God is and will always be beside you.
~About the actual travel~
•If you are going to travel by flight, choose early morning flying. These are generally less crowded.
•Prebook your seats if you travelling at other times if you don't wanna end up between two guys, wearing a PPE kit. (INDIGO's middle seat passengers with 'B' in their seat number have to wear PPE kit)
•If you are (sadly) travelling by train, go for weekdays and try to get yourself an upper seat and avoid side ones as they have more people brushing past it. (yes I am stealing your tips bestie)
•Carry sanitizing spray. These are allowed in flights for now.
•Pack extra sanitiser. You can't trust local shops to own one.
•Wear your mask properly. PROPERLY MEANS NOSE INSIDE IT. And take extra masks. In case of emergency, handkerchief and stoles properly fixed along your face is useful too.
•Avoid touching unnecessary things, around and below the seat etc.
•Avoid touching or rubbing or itching your eyes/nose.
•If you wear spectacles, fix it inside the side elastics of your masks, to prevent their fogging and falling off. (thank you dost)
~Food~
•You can trust the flight food and in general normal restaurants that have good hygiene practice. Because the WHO has not announced any spread due to food and you shouldn't be afraid of your nutrition. But, be sure that you don't go to street foods. (Even if you are sorry for the vendors)
~Stay~
•Hotels can't be trusted with their sanitation even if Oyo or other sponsor say so. So try to clean as much as you can and avoid touching too much of things if possible.
•Don't mix up the inside and outside of your mask or let them touch.
•Wash your hands as much as possible with soap, wherever water is available.
•Sanitize your phones after travel and even when you normally go outside.
~Return~
•Quarantine your unnecessary stuff for three days at least.
•Take out the necessary stuff and sanitize them well before using. This could include your wallet, ATM card etc. But, if you can avoid those too, you should.
•Clean and disinfect your spectacles/goggles well.
•Head straight to your bath in a new pair of washable slipper and if you can wash the ones that you wore outside, do it or else isolate it as well.
•If you have small kids and other vulnerable patients in your surroundings, avoid meeting them for the next seven days.
Also, if you have an idiot who would design you an SOP for the travel on what to do and not, you can completely skip this read. Otherwise hope this helps.
See you next week. ♥
