Hey guys, what's up. I know my blog has been a bit of a slow-moving tortoise right now. But, I am pretty much juggling a lot of stuff, including stressful situations. (Readers be like 'Wow thats how she thought we would want to read this blog')
Worry not, this won't be just about me or anyone in particular. These are just somethings I wish people understood about people who have anxiety. Herein, I am targetting anxiety caused by certain triggers as well as the generalized one. I am not a medical expert. Just a bit from my experience.
We are normal

As normal as anyone of you. Having anxiety can often make us feel alienated but over the years I have realised anxiety is just a monster form of the stress people usually face. So, we are just like you. Having anxiety in any way doesn't mean we are not capable of leadership skills, love or friendships.
I have had friends who wouldn't let me voice in because I was too anxious to be as aggressive as them. So, nevermind such people, you go your way. Aggression doesn't mean value.
What you see is just the tip of the iceberg

I want to quote the most overused quote of all times from 'Dark'
'What we know is a drop. What we don't is an ocean'
The signs you observe, the sweating and clumsiness are just what is outside. You don't understand the palpitations or the intense feeling of your chest closing in on you.
All you can be is kind.
It doesn't always have a cause and its not always a trigger.

Yes, anxiety is mostly triggered by situations. For you, it might be the interview level anxiousness. For people with the disorder, it is normal situations like an argument, a small space or even crowded place with loud music.
But seldom, these attacks have no causes. They come out of nowhere and go.
We can and can't be helped.
♥
You can't fix my anxiety by shouting or asking me to stop. It will stop when it has to. If it were to be controlled like that it won't be a disorder (things aren't in order). But if you still want to help, ask the person if he/she wants to be hugged. Sometimes there is a need for warm fuzzy feelings and sometimes you just need a shoulder to drop those tears while your body gives up on you.
You feel like you are dying but you don't

People with anxiety must be getting this. Your heart racing for no reason is a feeling you won't wish even on your enemies. In heart attack at least there is a chance that you would die. In anxiety, the feeling of death not reaching you is so bad that you want it to happen.
But, then again such is life. Just because there are people who have trouble and disease, doesn't mean we want to die. I don't want to. At least not like this.
If not normal, these people are warriors who fight a war you don't even see.
Thats all folks for this blog. I hope to see you all soon. From all the nonsense I have written, one thing I want to advocate #bekind
