|| A little Princess ||Audiobook||

This review is almost 2 years old. But, I had to post the old reviews on my website, so on those occasions when I can't come up with new posts, I'll be doing so.

Yes, my new post won't be about a book and I am extremely sorry for the delay. But, I hope you enjoy this till then.

A Book By Frances Hodson Burnett

A Little Princess is a children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, first published as a book in 1905.

I know I am not a kid anymore but I sincerely wish I read this as a kid because I would have loved it more.

I have been into coming of age stories and novels lately. I absolutely adored 'Anne with an E, Season 1' and I will watch the second soon enough after I get some free time.

I heard about this book from youtuber 'Ruby Granger'. I was skeptical whether or not I would love it because her interests are more into anti-bullying and stuffs and mine being of course, entirely different but I decided to give it a try.

I didn't actually read the book, I chose audiobook version from Librivox and loyalbooks.com and if you guys don't know, they offer a lot of variety of books for free(I will link the website down) and I guess they have eBooks available as well.

I don't personally like eBooks because my point of reading book is the smell, the feeling of adding notes, cuddling next to it etc. (bookworm love) but I like audiobooks. This was my second read/listen to audiobook. The first being Paulo Coelho's 'The Alchemist'.

I think audiobooks send you back to the time of storytelling.

Ok, that's all with the blabbering,

Coming to the book, its about a little girl who was wealthy but following a series of unfortunate events, turns poor. And, the place she is growing up in and people, specially the character of Miss Minchin, who once treated her as princess begin to change, for the worse.

What I loved about the book is the Indian touch to it, the descriptive details of weather, London's cold and Sara Crewe, off course.

The main concept of the novel is that how every dark time changes and one must not lose hope or kindness..

I once read a quote

'People face problems all the time, they are still kind.

Its choice to be an arsehole'

Well said.

~My favorite chapter~

'I tried not to be'

I guess it is 18th or second last part of the book. I have listened to this twice.

I love how the name of the chapter goes with the girl's personality and aura very well. She was indeed a princess even while she was in her rags.

~Time taken to read~

I don't know. I read 2½ books in 20 days..so I am really not sure which one took how much time. Also I was not consistent due to other work.

~Recommends to~

• those loosing hope in life or are having hard times

• gonna be mother

I think it would great to read out load to the kid in your womb or even those little one's around you

~Dislike?~

None. I loved it. 5/5
